Re: motiv brake bleeder
I just finished bleeding my '66 power brake system. I had replaced the calipers, rebuilt the MC, and flushed out the brake lines so everything was clean. After one operator screw up - I had rolled over the primary seal on the primary piston, and hadn't realized it, so I had to pull the MC off again and replace the seal, the whole bleeding process only took about 20 minutes. What a great system!! I found that starting with each reservoir about half full, after I had bled the brakes, released the pressure and removed the pressure adapter, the reservoir was still just over half full. Didn't spill a drop.
I had been trying to get them bled with a vacuum bleeder to no avail - the only thing those vacuum units are good for is removing old fluid from the MC!
