What is the earliest known date on a 1110879 distributor and the VIN of that car?

What is the latest known 1110872 date and VIN on that car.

FWIW I am familiar with what the latest manual says.

I have an 872 out of VIN 2117 (estimated build date 4/24/56) that is dated 6 C 5. That is all of the actual data I can supply.

For clarification, when you say VIN 2117 I am assuming that is E56S002117 or the 1117^th car built.

Correct. My (and I assume many others) short hand for the VIN is the last four (or 5 or 6 as the case may be) digits of the actual VIN. E56S002117.

I asked because '56 VINs started at 1001 and that can sometimes cause a little confusion date wise if 1000 aren't subtacted from the VIN sequence number to put the actual sequence number in perspective.
