Since you are the ORIGINAL owner, do you remember yellow glue?
I'd value your memory more than factory pics.
Some will say the car in the GM factory picture was built with special attention.

Sorry I have no recollection of the weatherstrip glue color.

I use Pliobond #20 industrial contact cement. It is yellowish-brown and can be purchased at Aircraft Spruce at www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/cspages/pliobond

I'll have to scan in the picture I used to complain to GM about all the yellow adhesive that was so sloppily applied to the doors of my 74 that I picked up new. Maybe they changed material in 73, but my 74 was definitly yellow.

This is a door pic of a 5,000 mile Sebring Silver 1963 Coupe taken in 1977 by me.
A new car buyer never saw this adhesive, it was clear until it yellowed years later.
I think making it visible is a mistake if you are trying to duplicate the look of ORIGINAL new.

              Hi,
              Here's the a-pillar weatherstrip from my 71.
It appears the adhesive was seen as clear when thinly applied and remained that way when protected from contaminants and air. But was yellow when the material was more thickly applied, puddled, or contaminated?
This piece has been out of the retainer for about 15 years but stored in a plastic container in the basement.
              Regards.

The glue on my original owner 1974 was yellow. It was delivered in late Sept. of 1973.
