Re: 1966 1967 frame question ???
Paul, The 67 shifter was bolted to the crossmember instead of being bolted to the transmission tailshaft, I believe it was to stop the annoying shifter vibrations. This particular upgrade actually started in late 66, I have a july 66 s/n 25,66x & this car has the crossmember mounted shifter. Barry Holmes- Top

Re: 1966 1967 frame question ???
Forgot about the shifter , thanks. I have a friend who has a 67 that needs a frame , we found a 66 frame ( close to us ) that is suppose to be real nice . We want "convert it" to a 67 , if there isn't that many things to change.- Top

Paul,
Keep in mind cars are separated from the frame for reasons, you better cross check the frame or have someone look at it for you.- Top

Paul
Another small difference that comes to mind is a '66 frame has one clip for the front crossover brake line, centered on the front of the front crossmember, while a '67 has two clips around 1/3 and 2/3 across the crossmember (distances might be off some, it's been awhile and the memory's going). This should be an easy fix though.
