I couldn't find any info in our searches . Crossmember came off great. Not too much trouble. Is there a technique in removing the rubber? Is there a certain tool that will lift up the tabs without hacking them up? Thanks, Jeff

Re: 68 Rear Crossmember rubber removal
You will need to press them out which will destroy them in the process. I've never yet seen one of these bushings that was damaged in any way other than cosmetic surface checking.
I'd leave well enough alone.- Top

Thanks for the response Mike. Not what I wanted to hear. I'm acid dipping all the rusted sub frame pieces. Everything else is being done over so why stop here. But you never know, I might take your advise.68 L79 Convertible: Triple Black: Work In Progress, Body off. Now on!
