1954 Intake/exhaust bolt torque specs

Is 25-35 ft/lbs correct for attaching the intake manifold on a 1954 6 cyl. engine?

David, According to the 1955 Chevrolet Passenger Car Shop Manual..........

Manifold center clamp bolts ......15-20

Manifold end clamp bolts...........25-30

Just be careful as the Corvette manifold is aluminum and not as hardy as the cast iron passenger manifolds. I've seen quite a few aluminum ones with the "ears" broken off.

Amen to that! I had one of the "ears" crack. It repaired perfectly, however.
