      Ed - Sounds like a survivor car. Just to be sure, it would be the bolt right next to the one that holds the road draft tube. We had a Bill Boyd in our late seventies Corvette Club.

          Assembly manual shows that flattened copper cable. Replacement cables for my 62 are two black ring clamp cables. Shouldn't one be red?

            No. In 62 positive was black, negative was brown.

              Well, the replacements both look black to me. The negative has an "N" on it, the positive has nothing.
