I mean if you're in there cleaning up the floor, don't let it get ruined with a leaky heater core if you don't already know its service record and time in the car. I've had leakers in the past ruin an otherwise great job of carpet and jute under layment.

Might as well rebuild the heater box with new seals then too, after all while it's apart......

There are several more project scope creep ideas just waiting.
