    Sorry, no photos but I can understand. These are essentially two-pronged forks, one flat and the other bent similar to a common dinner fork. Think of using a crowbar to pry or lift something with the "flat", non-hooked end.The pieces I made were 1" X 7" X 3/16" flat steel. Slot one end of the flat piece 3/8" wide centered X 3/4" deep into the end. Slot the other piece 1/4" wide centered X 3/4" into the end, then bend the piece about 1/2" further from the closed end of the slot at about 20-30*. You should have something that resembles the dinner fork.Flat piece goes under the ball against the head of the base just to provide a surface for the other piece to act against. The bent fork goes directly under the ball so the two pieces form a shallow "V" with each other. Squeeze the "V" and the ball pulls out. Shouldn't need any lubes, etc, as the base is pot metal and the stud won't rust to it.
