However if someone else has already invented the wheel on the internet I am not one to pretend I invented it and give them credit whenever I refer to things (i.e. Check detailed 145 posts thread going on on Corvette Forum that I initiated and am involved withon the 1958 Nickey PPe cars)I have been in contact in this process with Tom Stephani who has been pleasant and who has retained over the years since his father lost the dealership through bankruptcy all the dealership records. He has many reasons of course why he does not want to divulge the details of these two cars which as in the case of the Chip Miller (deceased) 1959 Nickey Mark 111 corvette he eventually did provide the complete dealer paperwork for since it was obvious Chip with alternative evidence and $100,000 restoration and never going to sell car.Stay tuned the confusion will eventually clear as I will stay on it .It only took me 13 years to solve the riddles on my former 1956 corvette (I.e. The Boat House Corvette) see past Corvette Restorer magazine article It only took me 7 years to solve the riddles on one of my current Corvettes (i.e. 1965 Coupe high hp small block )(i.e. former V.V.Cooke Chevrolet sold drag car that is listed in the Kentucky Motorsport Hall of Fame internet site and on the Corvette Registry of race cars)I am 72 years old and very very early NCRS member .Best wishesBill Keogh
This is a "response" to a "Where did I say" question after receiving an answer?!?!?? AMAZING!! Although I do seem to find buried therein an admission that "RK raced in August - EH raced in Septemeber, THEREFORE THE CAR THEY BOTH RACED WAS PPE #1" was, indeed, SOMEHOW, found to be in error. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise. No comment though on the post #17 Stephani disavowal - probably means Stephani will be back as "proof" in the future.
I also have no idea how the "boat house Corvette" and a 1965 coupe begin to matter on the PPE materials and the lack of logic in interpreting reputed facts on PPE identification. And I personally would prefer to think that this thread was the workings of a 22 year old with an NCRS # in the high 59000s - it would make some of the recitals easier to comprehend as to source.

Boy you sure like to INSULT people > I should never have replied as many people have advised me Why do you never help in the pursuit of the riddle but wait to find faultNo field of endeavor has ever progressed in its knowledge without correcting itself and moving on If you would please take the time to check this and other forums (i.e. Corvette Forum etc ) you will find that I have stated quite clearly NOT BURIED that :have recently determined through my personal interviews that Ed Hamill did not buy the Roy Kumnick car Ed Hamill started with a 1960 Corvette etcI really think that you have a lot of nerve making a statement such as: this thread was the workings of a 22 year old with an NCRS # in the high 59000s Anyone who knows my past in terms of Corvette Involvement; Education MBA; MULTIPLE Professional designations ; licensed Private Investigator in Ontario Canada knows that you are way off base As far as the reference to the 56 and 65 Corvette I was trying to give you a clue to my backgroundI was involved in Corvettes in terms of restoration and car racing since 1957.This is definitely last time I will get suckered in to responding to your insults Criticism especially (I.e. hindsight ) is easy constructive criticism requires effort and helping further the research which you have no time for

Sorry I cannot significantly add to the history. Years ago I worked in NW Ohio at Maremont Corp. (Midas mufflers, Gabriel shocks, brake linings, clutch facings, automotive electrics, M16's. We manufactured brake and clutch facings in the asbestos plant there. I spoke to a resident named Kumnick. Sorry I cannot recall his first name. We got on the topic of Corvettes and Mid Ohio SCC. He told me he had a relative who lived in IL. and drove an ugly purple Corvette race car that was very fast. Looking back it had to be Roy. Steve

I forgot to include I was told that his relative lived in IL and he also had relatives named Kumnick in NW Indiana. Maremont was in NW Ohio in Paulding. We got on the topic because "Sandy" Maremont had a Corvette brake test car in '60 and in the 50's sponsored an Indy roadster called the Grizzly Brake Special. Steve
