What is the expression: The Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise? This weekend it seems more like 'if the snow melts by then.'

Last time you guys had a Regional I was 'unavoidably detained.' I hope that doesn't happen again.

We are expecting a balmy -18 F (-28 C) tomorrow, and the foretasted high is expected to be -8 F (-22 C). Our all time record low in Chicago is -27 F (-33 C). In the military I spent a little over a year in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. There was one week when the warmest temp for the week was -27 F and the low for that week was -40 F (interestingly also -40 C), and after that they wanted me to re-enlist.

I have been to a Regional you guys hosted when it snowed. And you want us to come up there? The only saving grace is the sign on I-90 north of town that says 'Fargo 300 miles.' I forget the actual mileage to Fargo, but it gives me shivers just thinking about it even in August, and yes, I saw the movie.

I have to go dig out the driver car, while i can.

I am glad you guys posted. It reminded me I have some "stuff" to clean up and have to borrow the neighbor's wood chipper.

Wood choppers and snowblowers are quite similar in operation. In one side, ejected out the other. I'd rather be using the chipper, but since I'm an hour and a half north of Terry, using a chipper would only be for tree limbs fractured by the cold. See you all in Florida in two and a half weeks!!!!

Mike, I just traded emails with with a fellow who lives a couple miles from Concordia. He has used his snow plow twice this weekend and has come to the conclusion his drive is too long. Temps will be sub zero at his house tonight. You and Terry need to come south. Steve

This might help, I found it useful for my '67.

What impressed me about Fargo wasn't the wood chipper -- we use those a lot at the utility. That opening scene where he is flat towing the car through the blowing snow makes me cold in August.

Shouldn't that window sticker have the Zone and Dealer # on it?

Hi Brian yes it should I had it done several years ago and was going off of information from the guy who owned it in 1967, that is as far back as I could get with previous owners and this dealership was where he said the car came from and that the original owner traded the car to a used car lot AAA lindsey in spartenberg SC witch is where he purchased it, I Just sent in my 40 bucks to the ncrs for the dealer info, so I am anxous to see if it is the same dealer, other than that I'm not sure if Triple A enterprises should have added the zone and dealer number when they built the sticker?
