Ok I thought I would make this a separate thread, I see two mistakes on this reproduction window sticker I had built from Triple A Enterprises one the ECL after the am/fm radio option 2U69DA should be 2U69AA and the other after the 414 interior code 2414AC should be 2414BA am I correct on this I am no expert on ECL's photos are the sticker and pages from 65 corvette Nolan Adams book.

Edit: I wrote a feature article on ECL's in the May, 2009 issue of "Corvette Enthusiast" magazine; it's one of the few for which I don't have the as-published .pdf with photos, but I've attached the as-published text (Word document) - it explains what ECL's are all about, how and why they were applied, etc.

Re: Incorrect ECL codes on window sticker
Jim -RPO ECL's are all about what OTHER options are on the car that influence the parts list required to install the RPO in question, and I don't think Triple-A makes any attempt to figure out which ECL any particular RPO should have (some RPO's have as many as 12 possible ECL's, depending on how the car is equipped). If you want the ECL's correct, you have to dope them out yourself.JR- Top

Re: Incorrect ECL codes on window sticker
After two tries to get correct ECLs from Tripple A I did a cut and paste and copied my corrected ones. Even listed the desired ones but 'the computor' he uses only has one entry per option and doesn't consider other variables such as FI etc. Luckily I have a good scanner. Sure could have used that to 'update' my drivers license when much younger!!!!

Re: Incorrect ECL codes on window sticker
Ok Thanks John so all of them on the order sheet may be right or wrong, I thought by the car being a conv with l76 the codes could only be one code as it shows for that car according to the ECL list in the Nolan Adams book, otherwise I'm even more lost now as to what they should be. Jim
See the "edit" to my post above - I added an article I wrote that explains all about ECL's.- Top

Re: Incorrect ECL codes on window sticker
So if I understand correctly, on an M20 4 speed option the ECL would be different for a base engine car than a L76 car because the base engine would actually be a M20 wide ratio and the L76 car would be a M21 close ratio? Are you saying that Triple A uses the same code regardless?
