Indeed Mike, it IS all relative. One man's, or women's, advanced is another's basic. That is just one of my challenges, however when the name scares people who could benefit from the Seminar (and who couldn't?) from attending we have not met our mission.

I will be the judge if it should be called advanced or not. If you see a face in the audience that looks like this, then the advanced stays!!!!!!

That may help me Marc because I told a Mark from another board to look up "Terry the beard" while he is here (Yes I am in Kissimmee). I had visions of trying to sort out each of you because I have never met either or you. I am bad enough with names and faces without telling people I have never meet to "look me up." Maybe you should wear that T-shirt to help me out.

Would this be the beard in question?

That could be a twenty year old picture, but I don't recall ever owning a sweater like that. Don't worry, everyone knows me, even if I don't remember them. If necessary someone will lead you.

Well the first day here was fantastic. I have enjoyed everything so far and met many wonderful folks. So many beautiful cars on the field. The ending tonight had a heartstopping moment though. Everything is okay but a fellow ncrs member had to help me out with my ride. Thank goodness for this guy. My heart rate is normal again. Car will be back tomorrow as scheduled. I am too embarassed to post about it but will share with those here in kissimmee if asked about it. Stuff like this must only happen to me. Haha.

Marc, you can't be allowed to get away with a post like that without sharing some more details We're all friends here, and most of us have probably done whatever embarrassing thing you think only happens to you. This is not "the other discussion forum".

                    That's very reasonable.

Thanks for understanding. I just had to say something about it!!!! Yes, it will make for a great story later. All parties involved can laugh about it after the meet and others laugh at my expense here. It Is very funny. I do want to get a plaque for my hero that saved the night though!!!!! Haha

What a fantastic day today. I learned a lot and enjoyed everything. It is so much fun here and so many folks are so helpful. I am so motivated to get my car judged and have plans to do just that. Already buying some original parts I need. Tommorrow I observer judge and looking so forward to this. I have to be on my best behavior and my mouth automatically gets locked after midnight. All business with a smile and watching the pros do their thing. See ya tomorrow!

Re: What can I expect being an Observer Judge at a NCRS event?

Well the title of my thread was what can I expect being an observer judge.....well I can tell you my this meet exceeded my expections. It was a fantastic weekend at the meet. I met MANY members and a lot were ones I interacted on the forum. It is nice to put a face to the posters. Simply put, I would most definitely get my car judged. So stay tuned on this coming attraction.

Although, I had some issues with my car (car remained in Kissimmee due to ignition lock problem) I do not seem bruised from this. Someone said to me that I will probably never drive my car long distance ever again. Absolutely not. You betcha I will. Stuff like this happens and if you get upset because a 42 year old car breaks on you, then you have no business owning one period.

As promised I can now share what happened on Thursday night after the VIP reception. Well I met the previous owner of my car an he had brought original parts to my car. The passenger door already had issues with the key lock. Cannot unlock door with key. On Thursday night both doors were locked. I got to the car and put my key in the lock. I turned the key and the entire lock assembly came out!!!!!! The door was still locked. I could not get into my car. My heart skipped a beat and was like OH MY GOSH! I couldn't get back in but another member saved the night and was able to open the door. Well my car ended up being unlocked for the entire rest of the trip!!!!!

Then now we have the column lock problem. I swear I must have thundercloud over my head. LOL!

It's all good. Although the car is far away it is safe and sound. She will be back! I had a fun day at EPCOT today to put my mind at ease and then headed home. Thanks to all who gave me a helping hand and it was great meeting and learning about the NCRS. Observer judging was fun and educational. Now it is my turn to bring my car for judging. My friend who came up with me got Second Flight his first time and is doing cartwheels. I would do the same getting that high of an award my first time.

Congrats! You have much more courage than I. I have never been able to get the courage to do that. Good luck! Maybe see you at another regional or the National in KC.
