54 rear trunk lid harness Question

    54 rear trunk lid harness Question

    It doesnt look like the connectors to the licience lights will pass thru the holes in the lid. I dont see how the wires and connectors will pass. Do the connectors need to come off? Thanks as always!!

    remove the plastic connectors first. good luck.mike

      I did not have a problem
      Fish some metal wire from hole to hole with the grommets removed.
      tape the wiring harness to the wire tightly and the connector offset from one another - and pull thru.....

        Thanks again Chris!...........a different question..........the brown wire for the horn button that needs to get soldered to the steerung column bearing, that new bearing needs to come out yes?

          No the brown wire is already attached to the bearing
          fish a wire up for the horn and turn signal wiring
          Pull thru
          Install the bearing flush
          make sure to remove the paint from the end of the column
