    Mike,

Are the bolts that hold the lid the correct length for KO wheels ? I believe they make a couple different lengths depends if steel wheels vs KO's.

      Mike -

The DOT requirement for inflation when the tire is still hot out of the mold makes the reproduction tire slightly larger in both cross-section and diameter than an original tire of the same size; that may be contributing to the problem.

That explains why I had to get the longer bolts made for the redlines to make my new Kelsey GY PC's whitewalls (775X15s) in my '67's spare tire tub.

i've got the correct front bolts designed for K/O's. the problem is the diameter of the kelseys is excessive, even when i deflate the tire. mike

I kinda figured you did. Years ago they had machines that would shave tires down for racing or if a tire was out of round it would true it up, maybe there's one close to you somewhere.

no tire shops around here that'll grind down the OD. i'll just mount it on my daily driver, a chevy pickup with a LS3 525 HP crate engine. few burnouts ought to do it. thanks for good suggestion. mike
