Do I need to be using a fuel additive with 5-10% ethanol gas?

    '66 327-350 'Vert #1241-- I can get non-ethanol 93 RON gas, but it's a hassle (quite a drive to the station).
I drive my car regularly, or at least, start it up if not driving it. Should I be using a fuel additive (e.g., "carb defender" or similar) with each tank of ethanol gas?

    thanks

The short answer is NO........no additional additive is needed for ethanol-containing fuel.

No. Many of us have knowingly or unknowingly been driving 20-30+ years or more on E10. The sky is not falling except in Florida.

I use Lucas which is very simular to Defend and it was recommended by my carb rebuilder. I remember looking inside my carb before is was rebuilt and it had a lot corrosion in it from water. All the brass items had turned black. I'm not an expert in this field but I know my rebuilder is.

Water/condensation may cause some corrosion, but it should not turn brass components black. Sulfur (high sulfur) in gasoline will however do this.

Additives for fuel are a waste of money.
