There is a heavy gage ground wire that the schematic says it connects to the "shipping bolt" on the block. What is it saying, the mount? Its about an 8 gage wire with about a 1/2 inch or 5/8 connector. I havent seen any pictures showing this connection. Thanks again!

Yep !
On the drivers side - on the trans/engine/adapter plate ( the middle one - one the engine bolts to and trans bolts to.- there is a hole towards the driver - I think it is a 7/16 bolt should be a TR or WB1C etc.....
Shoot me an email and I can email you a photo

Re: 54 wire harness ground question
Mystery - I can see why there is a bolt in the one hole as it secures the ground wire. But it makes no sense for GM to install a bolt in the other hole as it serves no purpose I can detect. Both holes were apparently used to attach the engine to the shipping cradle and for nothing else.- Top
