I am starting to think about next year for what activities I want to take one of my cars. Is it possible to do PV and Flight Judging at the same regional? I am not clear on that. Thanks.

Re: Flight Judging and PV?
Years ago when the PV was first started you were able to PV on one day and flight judge on the other. I have no idea why this was eliminated. Possibly to get more money out of the member by having to register for another event.- Top

Re: Flight Judging and PV?
That was when the Duntov Award program first started (You have a good memory) and the purpose was in the beginning to get cars into a program that was just starting.Terry- Top

Re: Flight Judging and PV?
Thanks all, and I am assuming that the order of PV and National TF (above 97%) doesn't matter? So if I did a chapter, a regional, and a national flight judging, if all above 97% (without driving points counted), and then did a PV at regional afterwards (all within 3 years) then that would complete a Duntov cycle?Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Flight Judging and PV?
OK, thanks Vinnie, then order does matter, the National has to be the last event. So getting a 97+ at a Regional and National before the PV doesn't count. The PV has to be done before the National 97% flight judging or it doesn't count. You always have to end it at the National for the flight judging 97 or higher. Thanks, then guess there is no reason to attend a National before the PV is done.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: Flight Judging and PV?
From the Judging Reference Manual
13. MARK-OF-EXCELLENCE and BOWTIE AWARD ACHIEVEMENT
An owner wishing an attempt at achieving both an NCRS Mark-of-Excellence Award and NCRS Chevrolet Bowtie Awards with the same car may do so ONLY in accordance with one of the following:
A. At separate National Conventions: Mark-of-Excellence Award first, Bowtie Award second.
B. If Bowtie Award is achieved first, Mark-of-Excellence Judging at a subsequent National Conventions will require appropriate Divisional National Team Leader invitation.
C. At the same Convention: Both Duntov/McLellan and Bowtie Judging will be conducted separately during the same event.
D. Surrender of the NCRS Chevrolet Bowtie Award and simultaneous judging of both Bowtie and

Re: Flight Judging and PV?
Michael...if you have your 97 qualifier at either a regional meet or a national convention, you have to pass a PV at either a regional or a national convention AND then return to another national convention for another flight judging and attain a 97...so you could attend a national for your PV...- Top
