    Flight Judging and PV?

I am starting to think about next year for what activities I want to take one of my cars. Is it possible to do PV and Flight Judging at the same regional? I am not clear on that. Thanks.

8th Corv Judging Ref Manual Section 6 : 9 - Car entered in PV Judging may not be entered for FJ at the same meet.

Mr. Johnson to my knowledge, you can only perform one per meet and PV must be conducted in a Regional or National Convention.

          Mike,
Years ago when the PV was first started you were able to PV on one day and flight judge on the other. I have no idea why this was eliminated. Possibly to get more money out of the member by having to register for another event.

              Gene,
That was when the Duntov Award program first started (You have a good memory) and the purpose was in the beginning to get cars into a program that was just starting.

Thanks all, and I am assuming that the order of PV and National TF (above 97%) doesn't matter? So if I did a chapter, a regional, and a national flight judging, if all above 97% (without driving points counted), and then did a PV at regional afterwards (all within 3 years) then that would complete a Duntov cycle?

MIchael...you have to get a 97 raw score at a regional event or National Convention...then a PV at a regional event or National Convention as your two Pre-requisites then return to a National Convention for Final Duntov judging and attain a 97 again...all within three years

Yes the order does matter. The PV would have to come before the National. The final judging for 97 must be done at the national convention. You are correct that all must be completed within three years.

OK, thanks Vinnie, then order does matter, the National has to be the last event. So getting a 97+ at a Regional and National before the PV doesn't count. The PV has to be done before the National 97% flight judging or it doesn't count. You always have to end it at the National for the flight judging 97 or higher. Thanks!

Thanks, then guess there is no reason to attend a National before the PV is done.

Michael...if you have your 97 qualifier at either a regional meet or a national convention, you have to pass a PV at either a regional or a national convention AND then return to another national convention for another flight judging and attain a 97...so you could attend a national for your PV...
