Correct '64 327/300 Valve Cover "Metal" Embossed Label

Does anyone know if any of the Corvette parts venders sells the correct metal embossed valve cover label for a '64 327/300 engine? I received a points deduct for these being NTFP at the last regional meet and would like to get this corrected if they are available.

Also I need the correct "water-soluble" 300 horsepower decals if they are available as opposed to the NTFP adhesive stickers.

    Thanks,

    James West

      Michael,

Yes those are the one, I also found them on the Paragon catalog too. Now if I could find those embossed metal valve cover labels.

      Thanks for the reply.

Right, you need the metal embossed ones like this, except not paper like these:

As most I have seen are paper like that. I have not seen metal ones, maybe someone else has?

Didn't the 327 valve cover plate change at some point during the 63 model year?

LIC has them listed this way: 11H is the metal one for '63, 11J is mylar, for the late'63-'65. Sure you are supposed to have the metal one for a '64? I know the TIM&JG says that, LIC must not know that?

On on my judging sheets from the 2012 regional meet in Rochester MN., the judge noted that the valve cover emblem should be metal and the horsepower decals should be water soluble just like the current 63/64 TGJM describes for a 1964 Corvette equipped with a 327/300. These were only small point deducts and are easy to fix. I'm just trying to make it correct for the national convention.

                Thanks,

My point exactly. The 1964 A.I.M. shows part number 3832180. I would assume that this is the mylar sticker type label which should be correct for a mid-production 1964 Corvette. I really don't want to change whet I believe to be correct even though the TGJM says that all 63-64 250-300 hp equipped cars are to have the metal de-bossed label.

                  Any further comments from anyone?

Thanks again for all the responses.

                    Mike,
Correct me if I'm wrong. Was not '63-'64 the metal plate with raised numbers and '65 the start of the flat label?
