    rubbing compound

    Rubbing compound that has dried, anyone know of something that will remove this? Some one before me let some dry bewteen the lower edge of the hood an bumper.

    hi Lyndon,
    try some hot soapy water and a towel. if towel is not aggressive enough try a soft brush like a paint brush. that should do it. i have also hot pressurewashed it away but you risk blowing the clear off. i hope this helps.

      I have also had good luck with a little Isopropyl alcohol or Goo Be Gone.

        Wd40, let it soak then wipe it out . Won't hurt the paint

          A toothbrush is also very handy to use in tight places, use a soft one.

              I might try to clay - bar the car... the detail spray would lubricate it enough for the clabar to "grab" the impurities.....if it works I would do the entire car so that the surface would then be uniform.
