68 L 89 Crank anyone know the correct crank part number?

I've red 6223 but I've also seen 7115 cranks as being listed as the correct crank. Anyone know for sure? thanks, Steve

Per Colvin's book, the L89 should take the 7115 cast crank [with the (wider) heavier counterweights, because of the heavier pistons]. This would apply to all 427 c.i. engines.

L-89 used the exact same pistons as L-71. L-89 is simply an L-71 with aluminum heads.

L-89 used crank GM #3882842. This crank could have had forging number 6223 or 3856223.

The '7115' crankshaft was GM #3967811. It was used for later 1969 L-88 and ZL-1. However, it can be used for L-89, L-71, or, for that matter, any 427.
