Any way to tell the year of a hardtop? Just wondering if there are any markings or stamps to designate year for a 68-75? Thanks for your input. Steve

Re: year of hardtop?
Date on the window, perhaps? 1968, at least early in production, did not have the bright rear tips, and the early front latches had a different configuration than later latches. Early 1968 roof latches used an acorn nut in contact with the body; later used a rubber pad. Check the TIM&JG for approximate change point.Terry- Top

Re: year of hardtop?
Jim, the manual says rear tips were added sometime during July 1968. I didn't work on that section so I don't know if this is new info or if it was in the old JG. It also says that acorn nuts were used in 1968 and rubber pads in 1969. That probably is too vague, but no research was done for that.- Top
