C1 LED parking/turn signal light assemblies.

The following link is a picture of my 62 Corvette with some new LED parking light assemblies.
The parking lights are on and the left turn signal light is also on so you can see the difference in brightness.
The sealed units have a clear lens with amber LED's.
Point on the link and left click and it should open.

Bruce, I converted the rear of my '65 a few years ago for safety. I have back up lights so only have 1 taillight instead of two and wanted the increased visibility. The biggest pain was installing the resistor so the turn signals would flash. Don H.

      Hi Bruce--

I really enjoyed perusing your photobucket album, and seeing all the "hot rod" 'Vettes, as well as Big John Mazmanian's Willys! Additionally, I really love the look of your '62 with the fuel injection stacks; no hood; and those aggressive rear wheels and tires! As an aside, I am currently running 15X6 American Torque Thrusts on my '61; and was considering going with a larger wheel in back (15X7 Torque Thrusts)--what size rear wheels and tires are you running on the '61?

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

      Best Regards,
      Rob Vanderhoeven

Your car drips oil? I'm appalled! LOL Rob, I've got 245x60x15 on the back of my 62 with 7 inch rally rims

          Don,
I have learned that when I sell a set of LED tail lights I also need to sell a electronic flasher to eliminate the pain of installing load resistors.
They are easy to install in C1's but obviously difficult in a C2.
          These only fit C1,s 58 to 62.

            Terry,
I was going to put a note on the posting about that, I should have known you would notice it.

Bright is better. Do these fit in original housings or are they a complete unit?

                Tom,
They are sealed units and fit in place of the bulb and glass lens.
And they contain 25 amber LED's and are very bright.
I will try and post pictures but am having problems.

These are a great safety improvement just like the LED tail lights.

                  Rob,
My normal tires and wheels on the 62 are 15 X 6 Torque Thrust wheels with 205 75 R15 tires.
The aggressive wheels and tires are 15 X 8 old Cragar SS wheels with Hurst 8" recap slicks on P225 75 R15 tires.
I had to put air shocks on the car to get the tires up away from the fender lips.
By the way, after I put air in the shocks to get the right clearance I put the car up on the lift to check clearances and after about 10 seconds I heard a loud noise as both of my rebound straps broke.....OH WELL.

                    Terry and Bruce--

Thank you for the information regarding the wheels and tires! I too have air shocks on the back of the '61, so I will heed that warning as well. :-)
