I have convertible orders in the system but none have been built as of now. Look for them about the time you see the Christmas tree in your home !!

I proudly showed the cover to a customer yesterday at delivery and he said "I don't want that thing." I may just insulate my attic with all of the ones I collect !! LOL As you guys know. I don't throw anything away.
I can just see the judging manual in 30 years: Extra 5 points if owner can produce the special shipping cover that was on the car as delivered.

I do know truck drivers have reported some of the covers have blown off during transport. I got one in this week without the cover. They start to peel back in the wind. This driver was smart enough to remove the cover before it got completely torn away and flapped all over the finish !

We saw two coupes at our October Vettefest show yesterday at Old Town in Kissimmee, Florida. One was red and the other white - both w/Z-51 (?). It was nice to see them parked next to a raft of C-6's and C-5's for comparison sake. They are very nice. First coupe I'd consider buying since 1963.

Just for fun I was looking at VINs for C7s that are not sold. found this one. 1G1YD2D71E5100007 that's a seem like a very low number to be released to public and not have been sold. Of course its a nasty automatic.

That is odd, especially with a VIN like "007", you would think an old James Bond fan would want that, guess that also explains the automatic....

                            Thanks for the comments guys.

I just finished driving it almost 2,500 miles from Bowling Green, Kentucky through the Appalachians, to central Connecticut and back to Michigan. The the trip back from the east coast was a bit of a downer, as I managed to pick up a cold somewhere, but that didn't detract from an otherwise wonderful ride in a car that is just outstanding.

Its hard to describe how much more comfortable this vehicle is and how integrated the systems seem. It is head and shoulders above the 2010 C6 I had. Its a truly revolutionary change to the car.

People have been chasing me all over the US, giving me thumbs up, taking pics from all sides, surrounding the car whenever it pauses. Everyone seems to love it, it is a very impressive car. I think it bodes well for the future of the brand.

P.S. More than a few referred to it as the "batmobile". I may get that plate.

On my way west on I-10 and I-40 from New Mexico to Cali, I saw about three transporters a day loaded with the white shrouded Corvette cargo. And, alas, today the first C7 wrecked by a customer, guess they are driving them like they stole them....
Well that didn’t take too long. It’s been less than one month since the first Corvette Stingrays started being delivered to customers when this picture of a crashed Velocity Yellow 2014 Corvette Stingray shows up this afternoon on reddit. It’s not like this is the first time we’ve seen a 7th generation Corvette Stingray involved
