    1970 water pump bolts

    Was a 1970 small block equipped with lock washers for the water pump? Thanks in advance. Phil

      No, it was not. However, there were lockwashers used on the stud which replaced one of the bolts for the generator brace mounting. The lockwashers were not used, though, between the stud and the waterpump, only under the nut that retained the brace.
