I am very happy for Buddy. I think its great to see that these exceptional cars are getting the recognition they deserve.

Now I'm wondering who bought it, and he bought a couple others of Buddy's too.

Also of note, the "famous" last L88 ever made was a no sale at $420K.

Yes, both sold. Buddy's sold for $200K, and another one, a red one (didn't know there were so many ) with original engine, paint and interior sold for $225K. A big day for the Z16s.

Interesting about what this clip doesn't show vs. the live show, like the guy that bought it, and his entourage. The other thing is that I have never seen Marlboro Maroon look so incredibly nice before, they must have great lights at this auction, or that paint is, well......

On a clear coat day you can see forever. What is also interesting that it had N89 Cast Aluminum Wheels. I would not have thought the average L88 buyer would have popped for that kind of bling, wrong again!...Nice car...but it should be for that kind of dough.

Yes, that paint is a stunner. Since my single coat acrylic lacquer was judged "over restored", I would hate to see what this one would be judged as mine looks old and tacky compared to this, but I guess probably the same deductions either way. I do notice apparently this car was top flighted before it was bought by Buddy and restored.

Many of the cars/trucks looked better on my recordings of the auction than they did in the building, but they usually do.

If I remember the original tank sticker correctly, it was a rally wheel car that had original N89 wheels added later in life.

It came with rallys and blackwalls.
