62 underbody & engine compartment parts paint

Just finished studying my 1961-62 Corvette Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide and made a spread sheet of all parts that get painted so that I have easy access to this info when restoring my 62. However, I did not find any reference to paint requirements (i.e. gloss, semi-gloss, flat black, etc.) for the following parts; Rear Bumper Brackets, Generator Mounting Bracket, Heater Hose Retainer Strap Bracket (located under generator), Front and Rear Brake Backing Plates, Brake Drums, Upper & Lower "A" Arms, Banjo Housing, Differential Case. Can anyone shed light on the kind of black, if any, goes on these parts???

Did you try the archives, I think someone else made a similar list. If not it will at least bump your thread back to the front. A list like that would be a nice addition to the Judging Manual. Terry

Thank you Jerry, this makes life a bit easier. However I notice that a few items do not agree with the NCRS 1961-62 Corvette Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide. I will deal with this ....probably default to NCRS Manual as correct. When I get my list finalized I will share with all.

Anton....I did not create the list that I sent to you but I think it is generally correct....we used it as a guide when we restored our 62 and did not have any component paint point losses that I can remember at the Texas 2012 Regional

Thanks again Terry, It's good to know that this list worked for you. I will use it along with the NCRS Manual and my 62 parts that are in very good condition since my car was garaged for the 49 years that I have owned it in sunny California.
