      Thanks Rob;
      Looking for more examples.
      Do you have a thought about 1967 AO Smith bodies being used in numerical sequence, or not ?

          Hello Loren;
          Miss seeing you at Wards place. Be back there in about six weeks.

          Did production practices make it possible to have a VIN lower than #9283 and a AO Smith "BODY" # higher than A-0367 ?
          The Corvette in question is not mine or published, therefore I don't want to publish the actual numbers.

            Coupes and convertibles each had their own unique body number sequence.....both for St Louis and for AOS. Total of four body build sequences.

            My 1967 AOS convertible, body was built March 16, 1967 and has CONVERTIBLE body sequence number # A-2201. My VIN is 194677S114845. This car was built/completed on March 28 at St Louis. If my car was an AOS body COUPE it would of had a different and lower body build number.....probably around A-1100. A lot less coupes were made versus convertibles that year.

              CV #9466 carries CV AO Smith body #721; CV #8870 shows as A-0604; CV #8963 carries A-0632. No "first in, first out" rules apply. Clearly AO Smith convertible bodies were moving
              In/Out at a faster rate than AO Smith coupes.

                  Thank you gentlemen.
                  The numbers you provided give me a great pictures of numbers from the Corvette of the era.
