My March coupe didn't have these. The June convertible does. I also notice that the mounting tabs are riveted on. Replacement pieces have the tabs as part of the guard. Was the riveted tabs a " 68 only part" ? Thanks in advance.

Re: 1968 Splash guards
I might have the term wrong. Shields or guards. Anyway my 68 march coupe doesn't have them. My 68 June convertible image.jpgdoes. The passenger side isn't there. Lost or fell off in the past. Ill have to hunt this part down. Here are pics as to what I'm talking about.Attached Files68 L79 Convertible: Triple Black: Work In Progress, Body off. Now on!

Looks like you are talking about the guards (shields) that are parallel to the ground. There is another set on the toe board (opposite side of where the feet rest).
If these are the ones parallel to the ground there is an extensive TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) about them reprinted in the 1968-68 TIM&JG. I believe that TSB has some serial numbers or build dates in it that may help you. There are part numbers in it, but those will now be useless.Terry- Top

Re: 1968 Splash guards
Yes that si one. There is, I believe, another perhaps in 1969 that describes the addition of fiberglass with aluminum covering as a heat insulator between these shields and the body and the same material added to the storage compartments behind the rear seats.
Cecil, Nice size on those pages. Is that because of a third party hosting site?Terry- Top

Re: 1968 Splash guards
That is one, but not the one I was thinking of. If it wasn't so late, and I didn't have things to do that are more important to me -- I would look for it. They are all in the TIM&JG as I noted in another thread you started.
Doesn't Photobucket have limits on the number of views an image can have. I see a lot of threads with the image gone after some time -- which makes the posting next to useless in many/most cases.Terry- Top
