    C2 dash pad replacement instruction

Anyone know a place to source instructions or is it self explanatory once started?

    Thanks

Jim, its pretty self explanatory. Once you master the clips it's straightforward.

      Jim -

This may be helpful - it's a lot easier with the main panel out of the car.

Re: C2 dash pad replacement instruction

I took the dash pads off of my '65 yesterday. The best method I found was to take a small set of vise grips to stop the clip from spinning. Then I spread the clip with the smallest flat screwdriver I had and continued to spread the clip wider with larger screwdrivers until it came out. It is pretty easy with practice.

And I did not break a single clip with my method.

I didn't break them taking them out but when I went to reuse them several of them just broke in half. I would have some spares around just in case.

I've installed pads with main panel out of car.....no problem. I'm soon to attempt install of new pads with main panel still in car. Radio is out, will remove glove box and for ease am removing the instrument cluster.....any out pointers out there? I know some of us have did this type install.
