I am having a problem with the courtesy/dome lights in my '67 coupe. The courtesy lights don't work at all and the dome
light is on all the time (I currently have the bulb removed). Everything I see looks good (jamb switches, etc.). I have
checked the wiring diagram in the A.I.M. and the factory service manual and believe I understand how everything is supposed
to work. There are a number of 20GA orange wires that feed power to the lights, and a number of white 20 GA wires coming
from the lights that go to ground through the door jamb switches and the light switch to complete the circuit. According to
the wiring diagram, these orange and white wires meet at their respective junctions somewhere. I have looked and cannot
find these junctions. If I could, I believe I could troubleshoot this problem quite easily.
My question is : Do these junctions actually exist somewhere behind the dash, or are they "virtual" junctions buried in the
wiring harness somewhere? (This car has the original wiring harnesses). I'm sure someone has had one of these apart far
enough to point me in the right direction.
