In the plant, we had an overhead-suspended air-over-hydraulic compression fixture that clamped on the brackets and crushed them down on the bushings while the bolts were installed and torqued.

I think I still have some of the original NOS with the stripe. They are also long which is the way they were before being installed. The above is how they made them work. If they went right in without compressing them they sway bar would just move them around.
