3/4" rubber bushings for the sway bar must be to long?

I ordered the 2 inner rubber bushings for the sway bar on my 1964 coupe from Long Island
I have always got the correct parts from them but what do you think of this bushings?
I got the bushings in separate sealed bags and both bushings are identical
Or will the rubber bushings press down enough in the bracket when put on the car?

Claus, had the same problem from Paragon. These are for the rear sway bar. Only solution is to get some correct NOS ones from a Vendor or Ebay. Good luck.

Those are the correct bushings. Once everything is bolted down, they squish and fill the retainer. You will probably have to start the assembly using longer bolts and then replace them with the original bolts. I thought the same as you when I went to install my new ones but once it's all back together, it's just like when it left the factory. Here's a pic. of that same bushing once it's installed -

Claus, my orignal NOS ones measure 1 3/4 tall without the rib. PN 3817573, just curious what yours measure. They look taller. There are two sets on Ebay now. Thanks,

The measure is 5 cm which is 2 inches. That included the "lip" on the bushings that goes in the "groove" on the bracket
They measure 4,5 cm without the "lip" that goes in the "groove" on the bracket. That is according to a online millimeter to inches converter 1.77" inches

And i did another search on the net that shows that 4,5 cm = 1 3/4 inches which is correct so Jim is right

Here is how the bushings compares to the bracket not using the "lip on the bushing

You are correct, they are too long. I think I'd prefer the correct ones for a proper fit and function. Can you bid on US Ebay? One pair is $27.00, but shipping may be up etc.

No problem for me to bid on ebay

Both front sway 3/4" bar bushings came in closed plastic bags

It would be strange if both bushings was labeled wrong dont you think?

Claus, Install the ones you have. They ARE the correct ones. Follow the directions on the package and you'll be fine, your car will be fine and it will function and look just like when it was new.

Looks good Claus, if they are 1.75 inches without the rib, pack them in there! LICS is usually correct with their parts.

Thanks Jim and Dan i wil try to put them on When i took the bushings out of the plastic bags and put them in the brackets they looked so big to me

I have ordered a lot of parts from LIC and i have never recived any parts that was not correct for my car

45 mm is 1 3/4" according to several online calculators

Nope. Re-read his post. They are 1 3/4" just like your NOS ones.

Thanks Jim, was responding to his 2" message, too soon, sounds great now, did receive some strange ones from Paragon which they said was all that was available then. Glad to see good ones out there again.

I, like Claus, thought "What the heck are these? No way will they fit!" when I opened the package but after following the instructions (usually my last resort) everything was fine.

                              Jim -

In the plant, we had an overhead-suspended air-over-hydraulic compression fixture that clamped on the brackets and crushed them down on the bushings while the bolts were installed and torqued.
