Re: National Judging Chairman
Roy,
My initial reaction to this news yesterday was a gasp…followed by a hard swallow. Then I took a deep breath and I said to myself…well OK then, this is probably going to stick so I better just suck it up and get used to it.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for your influence and service to our organization. As the judging chair of our little ole chapter in Wichita KS, I also want to thank you for the one on one time you’ve spent with the judging members of our Midway USA chapter during our startup years. You’ve been a tremendous inspiration to us all, but especially for me.
On a personal level, there are very few people that share the level of respect that I hold for you. While my opinion will not matter to most, it means a great deal to me because I own it. Your professionalism and equitable treatment to the good, bad and ugly among us will be a very tough act to follow.
Here’s wishing you all the best in your new role. It sounds like a lot fun.
