Quadrajet Lack of Stamp Question

I have a Q-jet that came with no stamped ID number. I believe it's an early 70's carb. It is a Carter built Q-jet and does not have the round embossed tag either as on early units. Were the non-stamped carbs service replacements? Seems like they should at least have an ID stamp but this one is totally as cast with no ID stamping at all.

I'll work on some pics. I thought this might be a fairly common occurrence. The normal location for the ID stamping has not bee ground on and looks to be as manufactured with the standard greenish gold colored casting.

Could be a service body some times the main body was left blank on these as I was once told by a restamper of Q- jets.

My Q Jet also has no stampings. I have the correct date on the bottom plate but nothing on the body.

Date on the base plate is correct for 1968 and maybe early 1969, but those Q-Jets usually (TFP) have the number and broadcast code stamped on the main body if the main body is original to the car.
