    Old Vette Vues Magazines

Is there any reason or value to keep these magazines 1976-1989 ???

If there is, let me know. I have boxes of them (and others like "Keeping Track").

I threw away about five years worth of them. Only value is recycling.

I couldn't give them away at Carlisle last year.

And to think the other year I has a friend give me about 10 years worth to me to do him a favor. I guess the jokes on me. They do have some neat stories if I could find time to look at them

Check ebay pricing on some of those. They're pretty outrageous, especially things like tv guide. The August 1977 issue of Vette Vues has a photo of the one and only chartreuse vette on the cover. I wouldn't mind having that one, or all of them for that matter but the shipping is too much.

The first year definitely is collectible. ( Starting July 1972). Years two and three may be somewhat collectible. After that I'd say recycle is the best option.
The original Vette Vues (and other original binders) have value to collectors. Trouble with all these magazines is the electronic world has taken over and collecting paper is for the older generation only.

I donated my collection of Vette Vues (and other magazines) the National Corvette Museum many years ago. I came across another collection dirt cheap a year or so later so I bought them. They are still in boxes in the closet.

Our friends sold many old back issues of this magazine for $3-4 each at Bloomington last year.

That's it, nobody knows what happened to the car. I've heard it may have been a very early serial # and never made it out to the public.

There might be some value to some of them, but it would'nt be worth cataloging those and marketing them. Nobody reads an old periodical, so you want to find a Corvette enthusiast with a National Geographic collection, and those people are dying every day. Dump them in a package deal at a yard sale.

I have many 100's of them. Used to keep them in binders but finally gave up. Old car mags are tough to sell anymore. I have a room clogged full of them. A lot of still have the wrappers on.
My son hates to bring car magazines to the show to sell for a quarter each as not worth the aggravation.
Donate them to our armed forces. Greatest idea of all I do believe.

Probably made it to the old school bus home in the sky
