    1968 carpet question

The AIM shows that the carpet for the front has a flap cut for the front seat mounting bolt and also flaps cut for the rear seat mounting bolt. Can someone confirm that the rear flaps were actually used and that a hole was not just made in the carpet. Anyone with original 68 carpet?

    thanks

    Russ

I'm 99% sure my car has it original carpet. On my 68 I have flaps cut in the front but not in the back. The bolt simply goes through the carpet in the rear.

Are the rear cutouts like the ones in the AIM that are H-shaped so they cover both sides of each mounting bracket?

          Pass rear right side.

          Pass rear left side.

My July built 68 Coupe with original carpet looks exactly like the pictures Jack posted.

Thanks. The pictures help. It generally looks like the AIM drawing. I see the you have the seat belt guides in the carpet. Could you post a picture of them so I can confirm the general location and spacing relative to the seat and door sill.
