[QUOTE=John Waggoner (107);664773] I joined NCRS in 1974 and I think the dues were $25 per year. QUOTE]

If I remember correctly dues were originally $8.00 per year in 1974. I went looking for my cancelled cheque which turned into a trip down memory lane. One of the things I came accross was a 1988 renewal letter and dues were $21.00 then.

The ''other'' forum requires that the seller must be the owner of the car and registered with the forum. No selling a friends car. Dealers must be Registered as such.

Folks, the July BOD meeting is fast approaching. Have you expressed your interest in this? The directors are elected to voice your opinions. To get this passed it needs all the support possible. There are strong negative currents and we need strong positive support to overcome them.

It is time for NCRS to come into the 21st century, after all the rest of the real world is well into the second decade of it. This horse has been flogged for over ten years and its time has come

There are some great idea listed above. I know there is a way to electronically improve the NCRS Website and add service to the membership. I understand capitalism, as most of us do. Making the FOR SALE section open only to members, should increase membership and fees. For some unknown reason, National membership has remained around 15000 to 16500 every year for many years. We gain new members......and loose members, but never ''increase'' members. The younger new members are all internet savvy, and want electronic access to FOR SALE data base. Craigslist has proven that. Please find a way Vito and staff to take the club into this new century with improvements in this website.

The usage of this site has dropped quite a bit too Jim. If you are pretty mechanically inclined you need no answers, if you have judging questions and have a current TIM & JM for your car, in most cases all those answers are there.

Many here buy quite a few items and in the end, have parts left over. NCRS is seriously missing the boat by not having an electronic buy and sell section. Many people do not even bother to read the Driveline any more. The ads are way outdated and the realistically priced parts are already gone by the time the magazine arrives. I think in the almost 30 years that I have belonged to NCRS I have used one free ad. Never purchased anything out of the magazine. Have found quite a few pieces on flea bay and the Corvette Forum.

              Dick
I thought that the BOD: "At the March Board of Directors meeting, a committee was established to investigate the required programming and financial impact and or the possibility of revenue production of implementing such a section."... which sounded like it was past the popularity contest phase. I wouldn't have been silent since March if a letter/e-mail campaign was what was required.

Dick, I agree with you completely. Your Regional Director is your voice to the Board. I would also like to add, I believe pricing of parts for sale should be mandatory. I have been on the pricing campaign for Driveline ad's for many years with no success. Frankly, I usually don't respond anymore to advertisements without prices. I simply got tired of the common seller response, "what ya give?". Hopefully those who create the proposal for an on line for sale and want ad section will benchmark off of the many other sites which require pricing.
