Re: 1970 L46 water pump & pulley?
Joe,
When I purchased the quantitiy of 3782608 water pumps that were removed from Corvette engines when they were new, I had three shipments of them shipped to me. The first two shipments had "608"s with 1970 casting dates and the third shipment that I received on 11/20/13 had "608"s with 1969 casting dates.
You said that on your 1969 Corvette that you have owned since new that the "608" water pump was cast on E 18 9 with GM 27 foundry pattern. One of the 1969 "608" water pumps that I received was cast on E 16 9 with GM 27 foundry pattern(see pictures). Unfortunately, the fellow chose this water pump to spray some Chevy orange paint on MVC-012S.JPGMVC-013S.JPGMVC-014S.JPG
when he first contacted me. I told him not to paint any of the others and I would take them all.
