Could someone verify that on a 64 factory air car the negative cable from the battery should be braided steel thank you. Dave

Worked in the plants where those puppies were made for a while, the braid is actually made in a round hollow configuration then flattened after it's cut to length, terminated and fed into the lead mold.Bill Clupper #618- Top

I know that this is an old thread, but I need clarification on whether a 64 with a/c should have the braided negative cable on the battery. The Judging manual says "yes", but Lectric Limited and the AIM do not agree. LL does not even sell one for that application.- Top

The 1964 Corvette with or without AC did not have a flat braided copper negative cable.
Also there is not mention of that in the AIM and a diagram is shown for both non AC and another in the AC section.
