I am repainting dash area and AIM lists Llow gloss paint for certain parts. What would be a recommended Krylon, Sem or alternative rattle can paint for this sheen? My interior is black.

Re: Low Gloss Paint
Walter,
Krylon is ok but has been poor wear characteristics. I think Sherwin Williams owns Krylon now so it should be better quality. Sem would be a better choice. Many of the spray bombs are made by Sherwin Williams such as at Lowes.
Fiberglass dash, speaker grill and center forward molding trim are satin with little to no sheen.- Top

Re: Low Gloss Paint
Here's another vote for SEM Trim Black. It expensive compared to the stuff you can buy at the hardware store, current Krylon.Don Harris

Re: Low Gloss Paint
I'm not a big rattle can fan. If you want to go a different route I really like this Eastwood 2K single stage urethane. It's tough as nails and easy to work with. I would call it about 10% gloss. They call it underhood but IMO it's a little too flat so I add a tiny bit of 2K clear for my chassis parts. The image below is from their website and is good representation of the gloss level.

Re: Low Gloss Paint
I used SEM on my interior and was very happy with the results. It can be used on vinyl , plastic , or metal. As with any paint or dye job , be sure to prep the surfaces. If you use SEM on plastic , be sure to use their primer. I believe it is called sand free.- Top
