Well, after spending a futile hour searching for an answer in the archives, I'll ask here. And this asked only about the 67 Vette with stock, original calipers.

Does the American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels fit with or without spacers? The size 15x6 wheel for a 205-75R15 or the 215-70R15 tire would be used

Since my 67 has not sold and I guess I'm going to keep it a while longer, I thought I'd change the appearance a bit. The original ralley wheels, trim rings and caps are not for sale and will be kept.

Fits without spacers. Have them on my 65

Don, I have a friend with the 15X6 TT's on his '67 coupe. I think the tires are 205's but not certain.

Here is my '67 with Torq-Thrust Ds and DiamondBack radials, 205s. Fits great, no spacers, got the wheels from Tire Rack, they know the wheel needed.

If tire is less than 25 7/8" in diameter it will fit in tub. But this is actual measure not something pulled off a chart. Be cautious of the width as the lid will not close if to wide. You will need two squares to measure the outside diameter accurately over the center of the thread.

Not worried about the tub as I have a ralley with red stripe bias ply POS Coker cr*p for a spare. Fits just fine though and iys only purpose is to b=get me either home of to a tire store for a repair.

Do you happen to know the back spacing of the real original TT as shown on your car? I always thought that it was a negative number. I am looking for a set for my 62 FI.

Hi Pat, I want to say the BS is 3.5" but I will pull off a wheel and measure it to be sure.

I removed a wheel and measured from the mounting pad to the outside of the wheel, it is 3.5".

If they are 6" wheels and the backspace is 3.5" that means they are "inset" by 1/2 inch. Perhaps that is why the question about a spacer. I used a pair of the "original" TT "D"'s on the front of my drag race 57 Vette in the 70's and they looked great. I am looking for a set now for my 62FI car.

So what is the bolt pattern for my 67 Vette?
What is the designed offset and backspacing from GM?

Bolt pattern is 5 x 4.75". The stock 6" rally wheels for 1967 had +.06" offset, which equates to 3.56" backspace.
