Hi folks. I spent the morning at the Detroit auto show and snapped a few pics of the C7 that's there on the floor. Shown in Cyber Gray, I think it looks MUCH better than red. In my opinion, the gray body color goes better with the black trim pieces (hood louvers, cove molding, rear fascia, rear brake intakes). There is a red car in the display, however, it's hung high on the wall like a painting, which makes it hard to photograph. Take a look at the photos and see what you think. There was quite a crowd gathered around it, and the "buzz" is extremely positive.

Don, thanks for posting the photos. I'm with you , the gray presents much better in photos. The red just can't show the cars lines in photos, maybe better in person. I am usually fond of a red Vette, just not this one. Chip.- Top

Re: C7 Photos From the Detroit Auto Show!
Just got back from the Detroit Auto Show. Two notable things about the car: 1. In person, it looks different, much tamer. The C6 lineage is more evident from the front than is seen in the photos, it really does look like a Vette. 2. The back end looks much better in person. I like it, at least on the grey car. The lines fit the car. I looked at a Camaro and then the Stingray; other than the number of lights, if there is any real similarity, it is slight.
I'm now#25 on a waiting list (but I don't think I'll order that interior color)....Mike

Re: C7 Photos From the Detroit Auto Show!
At the 2014 Corvette reveal in Detroit, we were talking with Corvette’s Exterior Design Manager Kirk Bennion about the new car. He was holding the front license plate holder and wanted to show us how those who live in a state that mandates a front license plate would affix it to their C7 Corvette. The […]

Re: C7 Photos From the Detroit Auto Show!
Lucky you guys who can do without a front license plate...
Not too good news for people like us in Europe / Germany, though: if C7 might get in heat-trouble when driven hard with a plate installed (madatory over here), it will be a nasty sight to see Porsche's drive by our beloved ones stranded on the Autobahn...
So, does the General not think globally enough???- Top

Re: C7 Photos From the Detroit Auto Show!
Although I've never seen one in person, if you go back through that monster thread of Jack Panzica's Scandanavian/European trip, you will see some plates that fit. I don't know where they were from.- Top
