          Re: Dale at Al Knochs

I have been dealing with Dale for over a year and just spoke to him late last week on something we have been working on for several months. Last night I sent him an e-mail confirming my last conversation with him. Just prior to my e-mail I had been speaking with Bill Mock about his long relationship with Al Knoch and his dealings with Dale, neither of us aware of his passing.
To me Dale was my advocate, patient and understanding to a fault. Empathetic, never argumentative and always looking for a way to satisfy my needs; a problem solver. That was Dale. He was the type of employee that those if us in business cherish, and so do our customers.
In addition to his corvette knowledge I found Dale to be a most interesting person who had several facets to him, one of which was his interest in guitars and his extensive collection which if given the opportunity he loved to talk about. Although I know almost nothing about guitars I found myself more than interested in listening to Dale talk about his passion for them.
All in all I would say Dale was an all around exceptional human being.
I will miss Dale and express my sympathy to his family, all his friends and his co-workers.

He bailed me out of a real mess when I was restoring the 72'.
He went a MILLION miles out of his way to help me -

I wish the world was full of more people just like him.

I will miss him, talking with him was always fun .... :-)

That's very sad news and sorry to hear it. My wife and I stopped by the shop on the way home from San Diego. It was right at quitin' time. Dale recognized us from across the room and stayed late to give us the nickel tour. They don't make 'em any better! RIP Dale....Tim & Carla

Dale was dedicated to satisfying the customer by doing whatever needed to be done without hesitation. In every contact with him, he immediately focused on solving the problem and would follow up to be sure it was done.
He will be remembered for all he has done and for the true friend that he was to all who had the pleasure of knowing him on a personal level.
