In regards to my early model '68 (Nov.24/1967 build date) L36/M40, what would be the correct number that is stenciled on the frame (passenger side)??? My stencil is long gone. What size (inch) characters ??? What would be an acceptable date? Any photos of what the stencil on the frame would look like would be awesome. Thanks in advance. BK

Re: *** Frame Stencil ***
Blair, Vendors like Paragon Corvette will make up a stencil for that is correct. they'll ask you your VIN and if you do not have a idea of when it should be dated they will use a birthday caculator. The stencil does go on the passenger side toward the rear part of the door. You should be able to find some pic.s in the archives.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: *** Frame Stencil ***
Hi Blair,
Perhaps this will give you some idea what you're looking for. You can judge it's position from the hole in the frame rail.
This is an original from a 71. I'm not sure how the typical stencil for your 68 may vary from it. Maybe in the size of the characters?
Might there be a 68 stencil picture in the new 68-69 TIM & JG?
Regards,
Alan
