I am replacing the incorrect reproduction locks on the doors of my 63 but I am not sure which way the lock is supposed to go. Turn to the rear of the car to lock and to the front to unlock? I am not certain they are correct now and a friend of mine wasn't certain the judging manual was correct. I appreciate any help.

Re: 1963 Door locks
I understand the key is facing teeth down but I believe they are handed and opposite each other. If installed on the wrong door they will lock and unklock in the wrong direction. To the rear to lock and to the front to unlock? or the other way around?- Top

Re: 1963 Door locks
Driver door locks by turning key clockwise. Passenger door locks by turning key counterclockwise.Tom Hendricks
