Hi Jim, no I recieved very little information with the car. I've got my work cut out for me but once I find a starting point I'm like a Mako in a chum slik, I'll keep following until I'm hooked-up.

George, I have a different year, but with not a lot of history. I have the Judging guide, and I have been looking a serial numbers, casting number and dates. So for everything for me looks like a match, except for the frame. I just write down these numbers to keep a record. I am not sure my rear-end is original. I must determine the rear end gear ratio. I can see that the rear housing is OK, but don't know about the insides.

Good luck and I am having a good time and getting this documentation together. Find a local club and attend some of the Chapter meets to get more information on all the information you can find on your car.

        Thanks Dale,

I just ordered the Judging Guide and as soon as I receive it I will get started. Just for giggles, I had my alternator rebuilt about 6 months back and the guy said the thing had never been taken apart. Hopefully thats a good sign.

Once you get your guide you can check the part number and date code on that alternator and see if it is an original, then there are so many other parts to check, good luck and have fun

Goerge, this is a great site with lots of extremely knowledgable people who are always willing to share their experiences with others. You won't be disappointed. Only one thing; don't be saying you're old at 59. some of us might take offense.

            Thanks.
