    Heat Riser - Possible lubercation

My heat riser squeaks a bit when operated by hand. Has anyone here tried to somehow lube it? Needless to say, what ever kind of lube is put on it, I would suspect it to burn off pretty quick.

    Thanks

    Thanks
    Jack:

I will occasionally use some Prelube 6 or Liquid Wrench Penetrating Oil on the heat riser. Seems to help it some. Agree, that most (or all) of it burns off when driving.

      Hi Jack,

If you can find this product, it's specifically made for just your problem.

Try graphite suspended in oil. Available as lock lubricant at any hardware or big box store. Lock Ease is just one brand, but there are others.
