My motivation was to keep others from making the same mistake I did. I do think it is no accident that the containers for full strength and 50/50 G05 are so similar.

Add the price of TWO gallons of the 50/50 mix. Subtract the price of the cost of ONE gallon of the full strength. That's how much you're paying for a gallon of water.

I use the G-05 in my 63 and 67 vettes with no problems. Buy the full strength and get some distilled water at the grocery store and mix yourself, it's much less expensive than the diluted mixture.

I have noticed the price of the G-05 has increased some in the last few years. Going from memory, here in Md. I paid around 14./gal last year.

But now you have to consider the cost of driving to two different stores...(just kidding)!

My recommendation:

Any car with any copper/brass in its cooling system (includes all C1, C2, C3, C4):

Zerex G-05 (BEST)

Prestone Green (practically as good, but not quite)

Any car with all aluminum cooling system (includes all C5, C6)
