A short while ago one of the airport workers went to start a transportation cart and the battery blew during the start cycle.
I was to busy to go look at it but it got his attention.

I would think that on a battery there would be a warning label to wear saftey goggles and a face shield.

I think there is, but as usual we have to read it and put it into action.

of the terminal spins and can not get the cable tight. Is there anyway of fixing this? Perhaps drilling a small hole and
inserting a screw as to use it as a "pin"? Would this work or does anybody have other ideas? If not I guess the battery is a throw away item now. No I do not have a battery
switch; perhaps I will get one now. Thanks in advance; Larry
              Final Conclustion; Problem Solved:

I should have done this first but I didn't and assumed something else. ====I took the bolt out of the cable and put it under a bright light and it
was stripped ever so slighty. I had a extra set of cables so I took out the exact same type bolt and put it on the cable in the car. It snugged up fine. I guess in
this case the battery insert was tougher then the bolt. (Maybe the insert are stainless steel as indicated by Terry) Thanks to all.--Larry
P.S. Joe Lucia was correct but it was the bolt not the insert.

                Larry,

I am glad you solved your problem, and so easily too. New bolts with the smaller (5/16-inch) hex head are commonally available at your FLAPS in the HELP bubble packs. If you want the larger (7/16-inch) hex head, those would be harder to come by. There is an Adapter Kit that used to be commonly available with the larger hex size bolts and clamp-on connecters to turn top terminal cables into side terminal cables, but I haven't seen them in years. If you have an interest in those I can get you the GM part number when I return home. I haven't looked on evil bay, but that might be an option.
